Write for us

Rural Weekend Guide welcomes pitches that help readers picture and plan unhurried time in the countryside. Send proposals through the Contact page, with Write for Us selected as the reason for writing.

What we welcome

We consider clear, original ideas about country-day planning, rural routes, village places, seasonal outings and thoughtful packing. A strong contribution offers a distinct angle, useful detail and a subject that remains relevant beyond a single weekend.

Make the pitch specific

Tell us the proposed subject, the main point readers will take away, why it suits Rural Weekend Guide and how you would approach it. Mention any experience or sources relevant to the proposal, without treating personal observation as proof of a general claim.

A careful fit

We are unlikely to pursue pitches built around unsupported claims, promotional copy, hazardous instructions or advice that depends on readers interpreting local rules. Do not send a complete article unless requested; a concise proposal is enough to start.
